This time, I’d like to share the soaps I purchased from a lovely handmade brand in America.
ASPEN ESSENCE is a brand founded by Hannah Winde, who creates handmade soaps, scrubs, creams, and other body care items. She started the business in 2020.
What makes Aspen Essence special is the use of essential oils instead of synthetic fragrance oils. This choice results in more natural scents and ingredients. They use goat’s milk as the base for their soaps, which is known to be gentle on the skin. Personally, I think essential oils can be tricky and challenging to work with when creating nature-inspired scents, but when I looked at the ingredients of each soap, I noticed that each one has its own unique aroma, which really caught my attention and made me want to smell them for myself.
I discovered ASPEN ESSENCE through an Instagram Reel. Hannah’s calm, soothing voice made watching her soap-making process a relaxing experience, and I quickly followed her to see more. The videos of her pouring the soap and cutting the finished bars gave me a comforting break from my busy days.
I first saw the summer collection and tried to make a purchase, but unfortunately, it had already sold out. However, I thought, “I’ll get it next time,” and set my sights on the autumn collection. I was ready on launch day and managed to buy it right away! Since the shipping was from the U.S., it took about three weeks for the order to arrive.
In today’s world, where everything arrives so quickly, three weeks felt like a long time. But I have to say, those three weeks made me feel like a child again. Waiting each day with excitement brought back nostalgic and genuinely happy feelings, something I hadn’t experienced in a while.
Adding these handmade products with their nature-inspired seasonal scents to my life has brought me a new sense of comfort. I can’t wait to use all eight soaps, and I’m already looking forward to the upcoming seasonal collections!
