This time, I would like to introduce Notte a Tangeri(Night in Tangier) from L’ERBOLARIO, not a candle, but a series of fragrance/scented products I bought in Italy this year.

L’ERBOLARIO was founded in 1978 by Franco Bergamaschi and his wife Daniela Villa in Lodi, a town 30 minutes by train from Milan. From a young age, Franco and Daniela grew up surrounded by nature and shared a passion for finding and studying herbs in the local fields. This passion has given rise to the uniqueness and richness that lives on in L’erbolario’s products.

The first *Phytocosmetics was created by recreating a family recipe passed down from Franco’s father, and more and more products were created in the following years, combining the knowledge gained from the Herbalist, Phytocosmetics and *Phytopreperation courses.

As detailed on the official website, all L’erbolario products are 100% manufactured in Italy. Each production stage is carefully carried out at the production site in South Ada River Park, just outside of Lodi. Here, the Extracts Laboratory and the R&D department carefully select the best raw materials to create highly effective products. The production and packaging departments then manufacture the final product, which is proudly shipped around the world.

The “Notte a Tangeri(Night in Tangeri)” fragrance I purchased represents a night in the city of Tanger, Morocco.
The official website describes it as follows

The romantic, mysterious city of Tangier exerts the charm of a thousand and one nights over this perfumed Collectionirresistible and exotic. A hypnotic Perfume, sensual body rituals enriched with extracts of Tangerine, Date and Cardamom, elegant home fragrances. Unique products created in our Laboratories to enfold you in dream-like atmospheres beneath starry skies.

The scent was a combination of spicy notes of Cardamom and deep sweet notes of Date and Amber, mixed with a fresh Tangerine fragrance.
As the name of the collection suggests, I was enveloped in a world of night breezes in the city of Tangier, Morocco, where Arab and European cultures are mixed. I immediately decided to buy the product because of three factors: the scent, the package illustration and how it comes in a pretty tin.

I also bought a souvenir for a friend separately and received a sample and a L’erbolario 2024 calendar at the time of purchase. I could hear conversations with locals who were giving advice at the shop, and I was very impressed by the friendly staff at all the shops, which created an atmosphere where it was easy to talk to the staff, while also creating a cosy atmosphere where I could spend time alone, comparing fragrances and making a selection at my leisure.

A “Trial set” is available on the official Japanese website, which allows you to try 10 different products in sample sizes, so you can buy one for yourself or as a gift for friends!
